I Can't Access Smart Notebook; the Trial has Expired! What Can I Do?
Last Updated 3 years ago

This is a common issue that arises when new users receive a replacement PC, or if their user profile has been wiped for any reason. Luckily, the solution is a fairly simple one that users can execute without much additional help!

When you attempt to access Smart Notebook (or open a file associated with it), you may see a window pop up letting you know that the software's trial has expired. Instead of opening the program, it gives you a few options to choose from. The option you will need to select is Sign In. After clicking this, you will receive a notification that a web browser window will open; this usually takes just a few moments for it to do so. In the new web browser window that appears, you will then need to select the option to Sign In With Google. This will take you to the list of active accounts in your browser, where you will need to choose your school email address. Follow the prompts from here, entering your password if asked, and you will then be taken to a splash page showing you that you successfully signed in. Once you see this go ahead and close the browser window, and you will then be able to open your Smart Notebook files again!

As always, if you have any questions, or if you run into any problems following these steps, please be sure to submit a ticket so a member of our team can assist you as soon as possible!
